Wandering Wise Men 2016

2016 was another fun year of the Wandering Wise Men entering our home. Eli had a lot of fun moving the wise men around and Andie got in on it too. Every year this becomes a bit more fun as my kids love to get involved and learn more about their faith.
Day 01: A little delayed as the Wandering Wise Men were wandering in the dusty sand of the mysterious attic. But they are ready to begin their journey in finding the Christ child.

Day 02: Our Wandering Wise Men stopped to sing a few Christmas carols with Mickey. "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is their current favorite Advent song.

Day 03: They heard a snowman singing a song in the woods and sang along to a summery song

Day 04: They stopped for a little game of pool. Balthazar owes Melchior two camels and has to tell everyone that Melchior is the baddest pool shark that ever lived.

Day 05: The Wandering Wise Men decided to take the escalator before the ferocious one year old attacked

Day 06: A large group of dalmatians, almost 101, guided the Wandering Wise Men to their next stop

Day 07: The Wandering Wise Men got hungry for a snack and found a cream cheese roll in the arctic freezer

Day 08: Their sweet tooth got the best of them and they had to take a break because their tummies hurt so much. Gaspar says he'll never eat another piece of chocolate again 😉

Day 09: Spider-Man took the boys out for the night and led them in the right direction

Day 10: Santa helped the Wandering Wise Men and told them about the King that was born last night

Day 10: The Wandering Wise Men took a break on traveling by enjoying a day of sledding

Day 11: It's been fun at the North Pole, but it's time The Wandering Wise Men headed back on their journey

Day 12: The guys got hungry so they stopped to bring cookies for the King, but I don't think these will make it Bethlehem

Day 13: The Wandering Wise Men stopped to watch a few shows with Eli

Day 14: The guys needed to catch up on lost time so they found a faster ride

Day 15: A helpful three year old showed the boys how to play "Jingle Bells" on the piano over and over and over...
Day 16: The Wandering Wise Men have searched far and wide for baby Jesus, but they've only found these two angels

Day 17: "The sight of the star filled them with delight, and going into the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and falling to their knees they did him homage. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh." Matthew 2:10-11

They made it!! They finally made it to the newborn King! Through thick and thin they kept on going until they reached the King. May we always be seeking Jesus in our lives and keep the message of Christmas in our hearts. Thank you for joining our trip with The Wandering Wise Men. See you in December!

26 Weeks

Here are my stats for Baby G #3:
Baby size: the size of a scallion
Weight gain: I hit the 10 pound mark
Sleep: Sleeping ok, but Andie is still not sleeping completely through the night so that interrupts sleep. I'm also getting up more to use the restroom.
Cravings: Chinese food, Mrs. Grass soup, McAlister's Deli
Repulsions: beef
Miss anything: not being so tired and out of breath, walking normally
Looking forward: Easter with my family, meeting our new Gilburt, finding out if we have a he or she

Mother's Day 2017

For Mother's Day, we went over to my mom's for a barbecue.

These two came for the dip
All the kids at the kids table
With my sister
Blowing bubbles with Daddy
Her expression is priceless
Let them be little
Mother's Day isn't Mother's Day without these ladies who've helped me become the wife and mother that I am.

May 2017 Happenings

This is just a mish mash of things that went on in May.

I love seeing my babies all cuddled up.
Eli played Blastball and LOVED it!
It was so much fun to watch him learn and be on a team.
Eli dressed for his school's Field Day.
He said, "Look! I'm Daddy!"
This little gal keeps us laughing
Eli's school had Muffins with Mom for Mother's Day.
I was so glad that I got to attend.
Just playing on the driveway
Andie loves Doris, but Doris isn't feeling the same.
Eli was picked at his school to crown the Blessed Mother for May Crowning.
More playtime
She loves to play in my closet
Hanging out with my best gal at 31 weeks!

Easter Pictures 2017

I had the kids take their annual Easter/Spring pictures back in April.

These are some of my favorite pictures that my kids have ever taken.

Easter 2017

Easter Weekend is always a busy weekend filled with church services and family events.
On Good Friday, I took the kids to see the Easter Bunny at a local bank.
Eli was excited to see him, but Andie wasn't so sure and I had to hold her to get a picture.
Afterwards, my mom planned a girls day that included lunch and pedicures.
Andie was invited to girls day too.
On Saturday, I had some baking to do before heading to my Grandad's for lunch.
Andie helped me out with quality control.
The finished product was dirt cake with bunnies and eggs.
The big hunt didn't impress Andie too much.
Aunt Sherry helped her out a bit.
This is Andie running in the opposite direction of the hidden eggs.
My kids love going to my Grandad's
Andie and her partner in crime
The Easter Bunny brought Eli and Andie Texas Rangers outfits, new drinking cups, and an Easter book.
And finally on Easter Sunday morning we attended Mass as a family.
(The highlight of the weekend.)
And to think we will have one more person in this picture next year!
