Christmas Festivities

Leading up to Christmas, we wanted to try new holiday events.
First up was Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie. It is a park filled with large lit up Christmas decorations that you drive through in your car.
My sister had the grand idea of us all going together.
My dad arranged for us to take the band van so we could all be snug together. Can you see the excitement on our faces?
We had to wait 1 1/2 hours in the car until we got to the front of the park. We kept it from being boring by cracking jokes, singing songs, and picking on my little brother.
My dad, Poppy, was the official driver.
We even gave the band van a new name.
There was a carousel that the kids loved riding on.
It was a fun time filled with laughs and memories to carry throughout future Christmases.

Chris took some days off when Andie arrived that allowed us to enjoy family time.
We took Eli and Andie to the Trains at NorthPark. He loved riding on Daddy's shoulders as he watched the trains go around.
Pointing at the choo-choo.
He wanted to get real close.
He loved all of the details and kept lookout for the discreetly placed superheroes.
This was a great family outing. The exhibit was self-paced so we could take our time. Chris and Eli enjoyed their Daddy and Son time and I enjoyed pushing Andie around in her stroller.

We look forward to more Christmas memories with our kids.
