26 Weeks

Here are my stats for Baby G #3:
Baby size: the size of a scallion
Weight gain: I hit the 10 pound mark
Sleep: Sleeping ok, but Andie is still not sleeping completely through the night so that interrupts sleep. I'm also getting up more to use the restroom.
Cravings: Chinese food, Mrs. Grass soup, McAlister's Deli
Repulsions: beef
Miss anything: not being so tired and out of breath, walking normally
Looking forward: Easter with my family, meeting our new Gilburt, finding out if we have a he or she

Andie's 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Andie's birthday on a cold Saturday morning. We chose breakfast and Christmas jammies theme.
We had donuts, fruit, yogurt, breakfast casserole, and of course cake!
It was such a fun theme and easy to do since I'm such a Christmas freak.
Her cake was perfect.
She was so excited to celebrate her big day.
Her guests in their jammies.
Sweet Tracen was ready to party, too.
Levi came to celebrate his BFF's birthday.
Opening her presents
She was so excited!
Helping Andie with her gifts
With my sweet birthday girl
Then came CAKE TIME!!
She really loved that cake!
I can't believe that one year has already passed. Andie is such a joy to our lives with her sweet smile and funny personality. I can't wait to see how she will grow into a young lady.

Andie is Eleven Months Old

This little sweetheart turned 11 months old on November 5. She's getting closer to walking and finally has some teeth. We ended our nursing journey during this month. She was only nursing at night and we were about to go on a cruise and I didn't want to pump on a boat or in the middle of a beach! I took it harder than her as she was just fine with a bottle and ready to move on to big girl things.
She loves to be with her brother.
And she looks too big wearing this nightgown.
She likes naps with the dogs.
While Chris and I were on our cruise, they were well taken care of by my aunts.

One morning I was while I was getting ready, I found her asleep like this.

She loves getting into the Tupperware.
Happy as can be with a late breakfast.
Thanksgiving Day with my babies.
She loves playing with her cousin, Levi.
She likes to mess up the laundry too.
And terrorize her brother by knocking down his block castle.
And I still love these bath time pics.
Staying warm from the cold weather outside.
At the KJZT Christmas party
In the Christmas Spirit
She got to meet Santa for the first time this year.
One last picture taken the night before she turned 1.

34 Weeks

Here are my stats for Andie:
Baby size: the size of a cantaloupe
Weight gain: I hit the 13 pound mark
Sleep: Sleeping more due to being plain old tired; I actually found a comfortable spot where I'm halfway on my stomach, but I do frequently wake up on my back. I'm also getting up to use the restroom more.
Cravings: Chinese food, Mrs. Grass soup, pizza, chocolate, and Big Red soda
Repulsions: BBQ brisket and steak
Miss anything: not being so tired in the evenings when Eli wants to play with me so much, walking normally, the swelling has begun and I can barely wear my wedding rings by the end of the day. Although, it's not as bad or as soon as it was when I was pregnant with Eli.
Looking forward: Andie being here, Eli meeting her, and having her steal Chris' heart
Odd fact: Halloween came along during this time and we made me a zombie baby costume. It was a lot of fun to wear and super easy to make. I had a lot of fun using my bump as a prop for Halloween.
The entire gang went as zombies for a Halloween-themed wedding we went to a few weeks ago. My sis and I matched, as we are both pregnant now! (She's due in April!!)

38 Weeks

At 38 weeks, I was still feeling good and ventured out into a 16 hour Black Friday shopping spree with my two aunts. It really wasn't that bad. I took my breaks when needed and paced myself. But when I got home, I felt like I got hit by a train and Andie made me pay for the all day abuse. I thought I might go into labor that night with all of the pain, but nope. I woke up on Saturday good as new. She wasn't ready to make her presence known yet.
The day before was Thanksgiving and my mom insisted of a picture of my sis, myself, and SIL, who were all pregnant. My sister was 19 weeks, I was 38 weeks, and my SIL was 37 weeks. I had been cooking all morning and already was feeling the drain of the day. But, this was a precious moment that we didn't want to miss.
Here are my stats for Andie:
Baby size: the size of a leek
Weight gain: 20 pounds, yeah I finally hit that
Sleep: Not much. Waking up and can't find a comfortable position to go back to sleep in, getting up for the bathroom several times
Cravings: Mrs. Grass soup, chocolate, slushies
Repulsions: BBQ brisket
Miss anything: wine, being able to play longer with Eli, not having so much sciatic pain, talking without being so breathless
Looking forward: Andie making her big debut and seeing Eli become a big brother
Odd fact: I got a lot of stares at Black Friday shopping and when people asked how long I had to go and I said next Saturday they were shocked. I honestly have felt so good this pregnancy and have enjoyed being pregnant. This pregnancy seems like a breeze compared to being pregnant the first time, and that one wasn't a difficult pregnancy either. I am truly blessed to have two babies and want to relish every moment that's been given to our family.

30 Weeks

I'm at 30 weeks with Miss Andie Rose. Not too much further to go. When the doctor said that I was 3/4 of the way through pregnancy it really hit me that she will be here sooner than we realize.
At 30 weeks, I'm feeling pretty pregnant. It's getting harder to get out of bed and I'm getting tired more often. Swelling is starting to kick in, much later than when I was pregnant with Eli. Other than that, this has been a wonderful pregnancy. Eli felt Andie move for the first time and jerked his hand back when she kicked him. I think he's a little frightened of little sister, but he loves to pat my belly and say, "Baby!"
Chris wanted to show off his belly at the Arboretum.
And showing it off in front of Big Tex at the State Fair.

Here are my stats for Andie:
Baby size: the size of a cabbage
Weight gain: I hit the 12 pound mark, but lost a pound between my two week appointments
Sleep: Sleeping more due to being plain old tired; I can't lie on stomach much anymore, and I wake up frequently on my back.
Cravings: Chinese food, Mrs. Grass soup, chocolate, Big Red soda, and sno cones
Repulsions: BBQ brisket, steak, the smell of the pork roast I made on Sunday
Miss anything: wine, being able to play longer with Eli, getting out of bed normally, not having so much sciatic pain
Looking forward: Eli feeling Andie kick more, maternity Halloween costume.lol
Odd fact: At 30 weeks, I was plagued with the stomach bug. I had never been sick while being pregnant, other than morning sickness, and it was awful. I don't wish that on anyone. My poor Andie was starving, but I couldn't keep anything down for awhile. Hoping that it doesn't come back to our house.
***Update: I forgot to mention that I entered a cupcake eating contest at school for a pep rally. I had to eat 12 mini cupcakes against these big burly football boys and teachers. I was actually beating everyone and had I known that I was so far ahead, I would've stopped and swallowed a bit. But, I didn't and when it came to the 12th cupcake I couldn't swallow and my eyes started watering. I ran for the trash can and everything came up. It was pretty gross. My kids were really proud of me though and Andie was dancing in my tummy the rest of the day on her sugar high!

26 Weeks

These last few weeks have been busy with school starting, my belly increasing, and Westfest. I've been more tired lately due to these things, but trying to truck on through and take each day as a blessing. I had my glucose test this week and should know answers in the next few days. I also have another appointment this week at a clinic in Dallas for an ultrasound. My current doctor doesn't do ultrasounds at his office and wants his patients to have them done every 4-6 weeks at this clinic. I will update with that appointment next week.

Here are my stats for Andie:
Baby size: the size of a scallion
Weight gain: I hit the 10 pound mark this past week
Sleep: Sleeping more due to going back to school; able to lie on stomach still
Cravings: Chinese food, Mrs. Grass soup, chocolate, and sno cones
Repulsions: BBQ brisket, steak, and the smell of garlic
Miss anything: wine, being able to play longer with Eli, getting out of bed normally
Looking forward: seeing Andie at my appointment on Friday, and more kicks for Eli and Chris to feel
Odd fact...ok more like embarrassing moment: One of my male students wanted to know what it felt like to be pregnant so I explained a few things. A female student spoke up and said, "Gosh! You're going to have to lose a lot of weight." Thanks sweetheart, you're a pal.

22 Weeks

22 weeks was a fun experience in Las Vegas with my girl cousins, aunts, sister, and mom. We had a great time hanging out and laughing with each other. I took this picture on our way to see Jersey Boys at Paris Casino. My stomach is protruding more and more. I felt very pregnant in Vegas as we walked frequently and my sciatic nerve kicked my butt, literally. I made up for the walking by sitting to play the slot machines. I didn't win much, but had a great time with my family.
Here are my stats for Baby G:
Baby size: the size of a spaghetti squash
Weight gain: 6 pounds
Sleep: A bit more energy, but still needing my naps; able to lie on stomach still
Cravings: Chinese food, pizza, wine, and sno cones
Repulsions: BBQ brisket, steak, and the smell of garlic
Miss anything: margaritas, able to pick up Eli with more ease, and my energy
Looking forward: feeling Andie kicking outside my belly; I can't wait for Eli to feel what her kicks feel like
Odd fact: It was really awkward having a Chippendales' dancer rub my belly while we were touring downtown Las Vegas.

20 Weeks

At 20 weeks, I felt pretty good. We went on vacation to Florida and revealed what our newest little Gilburt is. During this time, my body began to feel and look like I have a baby inside. Regular clothes were no longer fitting comfortably and it was time to put on the maternity clothes. Trying to stay cool and remembering to drink plenty of water were the hardest parts in Florida. I learned the hard way on Day 2 and spent the rest of the afternoon with my stomach cramping because I didn't drink enough water. From then on out I made sure I had water and went inside when I got too warm.
Here are my stats for Baby G:
Baby size: the size of a small artichoke
Weight gain: 3 pounds
Sleep: A bit more energy, but still needing my naps; able to lie on stomach still
Cravings: Chinese food, pickles, pizza, wine, and sno cones
Repulsions: BBQ brisket, the smell of garlic
Miss anything: wine, able to pick up Eli with more ease, and my energy
Looking forward: Revealing to everyone that we are having a GIRL!! My predictions and dreams were correct.
Odd fact: My doctor told me at my 20 week appointment that he would be leaving his practice here in Ennis. Chris and I were a bit upset, but understood his leaving to be closer to his family. I have an appointment with a doctor that was recommended by my old doctor and will see him at my 23 week appointment.

17 Weeks

Here we are already at 17 weeks with Baby #2.
This was my first belly shot since we found out about Baby #2. I need to remember to take more and not care too much about if I have makeup on or if I'm wearing the right clothes.
This pregnancy has proved to be much different than last time, that or I forgot what last time was like. I had frequent headaches in the first trimester that would hurt so bad that I couldn't do much when I had one. It seems like I am much sicker than last time. Although it has been less by entering the second trimester, every few days I start to get that "blah" feeling again.
I'm going to use the same template I used for my pregnancy with Eli to track how I'm feeling and what's going on and I also added a few new categories:
Baby size: the size of a turnip
Weight gain: gained 1/2 pound
Sleep: A bit more energy, but still needing my naps; able to lie on stomach still
Cravings: Chinese food, pickles, wine
Repulsions: BBQ brisket, the smell of garlic
Miss anything: wine, able to pick up Eli with more ease
Looking forward: Baby G's gender reveal on Tuesday!! My guess is girl.
Odd fact: Baby G did not like Fuzzy's Tacos. Within a few hours the nachos I had were coming right back up.TMI

We're Having Another Gilburt!

On April 1, I took a pregnancy test. It was a clear positive reading, but I didn't want to tell anyone that day in fear that they would think it was an April Fool's joke. Chris was out of town for the week so I kept my little secret until he came home. Since it was close to Easter, I found an Easter egg and put a little note inside of it that said, "There's another egg in the basket coming in December!" Chris was just as excited as I was. We tried telling Eli, but he doesn't understand just yet.
I went to the doctor once I was at 10 weeks. Doctor said everything looks good and baby is doing great. I went back for my 14 week appointment last week and the heartbeat was at 156. My old wives' tales are pointing me towards a girl, but will have to wait until mid-July to find out.
We told our parents around Mother's Day, as that seemed most appropriate. Both sides are very excited about a new grandchild. It just so happened that my sister-in-law (my older brother's wife) is expecting too and on the same day as me! What a wonderful surprise.
Every day it becomes a bit more real that our family of three will be a family of four by the end of the year. God has blessed us with another child and we are grateful for this opportunity to be parents again.

Smorgasbord #10

I have been a little quiet lately, but this house has been anything but. Eli is nestling in so sweetly in our lives and we love to spend any amount of time with him. He is our little peanut and keeps me busy during the day feeding, changing, cuddling, and more cuddling.

Now for the Smorgasbord:
I saw these at the store and thought I would give them a try. They are delicious and have that great sweet and salty flavor. The peppermint and the pretzel combination is divine. They didn't last long in my house and I have moved on to a second bag.
I was getting ready one morning and watched Doris slowly inch her way on the bed and snuggle up to Eli. She is our Nana and just wants to take care of him.
And then we have Mr. Bates. I was trying to get Eli to do some tummy time and Mr. Bates wanted to help. As you can see Eli is crying and Mr. Bates is sniffing all over him. This didn't last too long. Mr. Bates is a great brother, but he gets too close and I have to tell him to back off frequently.
It was mohawk day on Wednesday. Eli has so much hair and I love to play with it and make cute hairstyles.
These two had a play date on Wednesday. I love that this picture looks like Marley is holding the camera taking a selfie (or ussie if you watched Live with Kelly and Michael this week) with Eli.
They had a lot of fun hanging out and getting to know each other a bit more.
And now....DUN DUN DUUUUNNN!!!
Downton Abbey Season 4 came in this week!! The season just ended in the UK, but will not air until January in the US. I can't wait to watch this and catch up with my favorite show!!
Lastly, I have been working on my annual Christmas cds that I give out to my family and friends. I finished them up today and ready to spread Christmas cheer!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and stays warm with this arctic weather upon us in Texas!
