Easter Pictures 2017

I had the kids take their annual Easter/Spring pictures back in April.

These are some of my favorite pictures that my kids have ever taken.

Our handsome Eli

Easter 2017

Easter Weekend is always a busy weekend filled with church services and family events.
On Good Friday, I took the kids to see the Easter Bunny at a local bank.
Eli was excited to see him, but Andie wasn't so sure and I had to hold her to get a picture.
Afterwards, my mom planned a girls day that included lunch and pedicures.
Andie was invited to girls day too.
On Saturday, I had some baking to do before heading to my Grandad's for lunch.
Andie helped me out with quality control.
The finished product was dirt cake with bunnies and eggs.
The big hunt didn't impress Andie too much.
Aunt Sherry helped her out a bit.
This is Andie running in the opposite direction of the hidden eggs.
My kids love going to my Grandad's
Andie and her partner in crime
The Easter Bunny brought Eli and Andie Texas Rangers outfits, new drinking cups, and an Easter book.
And finally on Easter Sunday morning we attended Mass as a family.
(The highlight of the weekend.)
And to think we will have one more person in this picture next year!

Easter Weekend 2016

Easter Weekend is always a busy one. We want to see everyone, talk with everyone, and eat with everyone.
First stop was Grandad Sylvester's.
It was a gorgeous day and the kids had perfect picnic weather.
Enjoying the sunshine.
Sporting his shades
He even got a ride from his sweet cousin
My sister was "Egg-specting" Levi
Our egg hunt gets bigger every year
Aunt Joan collected eggs for Andie, aka me
Aunt Sherry helping Eli find some goodies

He loved egg hunting
The last three Sylvester grandchildren and the majority of the great-grandchildren
Grandad with the Mikula grandkids
Poppy and Gammy with their grandbabies
We went to Mass Sunday morning
We came home to the Easter Bunny's goodies
Eli got a new Shining Light Doll, St. Francis of Assisi, to take to Mass
I love these Shining Light dolls for Mass because they're light, soundless, and the kids get to learn a bit more about their Catholic faith.
Andie liked her bunny blanket
That afternoon, we headed to Grandma Mikula's
Eli was wearing Grandma's garden hat.
He was ready for another hunt

Hunting in Grandma's yard

He had a blast
I got a pic with my sweet, rowdy boy
I tried to get a picture of these two, but it was much harder than it looks.
Eli loves her, but Andie isn't so sure.

It was a wonderful Easter Weekend and I'm so thankful for the family I have to celebrate it with.

Good Friday 2016

My school was closed on Good Friday this year, so I got to spend the day with my babies.
We saw the Easter Bunny. Eli was a bit nervous to take a picture with him, but once he saw that Andie was doing it too he joined in.
We attended Good Friday services at our church that included Veneration of the Cross. It was a 2 hour service, but we sat in the front and my kids were great. The best part was the Veneration of the Cross. It is such a humbling experience to kneel and kiss the wooden cross. I explained to Eli what we were going to do and he walked right up to the cross, kissed it, and looked up at me with a smile. I am so proud to be his mommy.
That evening we had our annual egg dyeing party at Brianna's house.
The older kids loved dyeing eggs.

Andie got to hold an egg
But, she wasn't too excited about it
We also had craft tune.
We had the toddlers put scraps of tissue paper on plastic film and then cut them into crosses to go on windows.
By this point, everyone was done.
I love this time of year as our children learn more about our faith with their cousins and make memories.
