Bluebonnet Festival

Our town has an annual Bluebonnet Festival to show off the overabundance of bluebonnets that perk up every Spring. The festival begins on a Friday night. We chose to attend on Friday because my dad's rock 'n roll band was playing.

They had a wine tasting that featured several local wineries. Being pregnant, I could only smell the wine and take pictures of my mom and sis enjoying the sips. :(
We took the kids with us too and they loved it.
These two goobers
And we couldn't leave without winning a few prizes to add to our arsenal.

Spring Time

These two babies figured out how to get out the doggie door.
Andie is our little grazer.
She eats a bit off her plate and then waits for others to leave their plates so she can eat their leftovers.
Riding in Daddy's truck around the farm
These two troublemakers were having so much fun.
Our first grill of the season

We took the kids to take pictures in the bluebonnets near our house.
I love this picture.
Eli had Cowboy Day and was thrilled to wear his silly Cowboy hat.
In honor of Cowboy Day, his teacher had this cute Wanted Poster made about him.

Spring Break 2017

Eli kicked off Spring Break with an 80s Day at his school.
Chris gave him a Flock of Seagulls hairdo and put him in 80s-esque clothing.
During Spring Break, we stopped at McAlister's, my new favorite place to eat for lunch.
Andie showing off that pretty smile.
We took the kids to Lowe's for a few things we needed at the house.
Andie had her 15 month checkup with a perfect bill of health.
One day, she just wanted to lounge in her winter hat and watch her shows.
We took the older kids to see Beauty and the Beast. They loved it and took their picture with someone dressed up as the Beast.
For our final day of Spring Break, we took the family to Chuck E. Cheese.
The kids had a blast playing games and riding toys.
Eli loved feeling like a big kid.
Such a fun day with family.

Ash Wednesday 2017

This Ash Wednesday I was able to take my kids after I got off work to church to receive our ashes.

Although we are smiling, they are a sign of our sinfulness and that we will return to ashes after death.
Andie made it in the second picture.
And it wouldn't be Lent without fish sticks and macaroni and cheese.

February Happenings

This post is just a bunch of events from February.

Eli got his throat blessed for the feast of St. Blaise.
